Applicants are required to hold at the time of enrolment the established Leaving Certificate (or an approved equivalent) with at least Grade C3 in two Higher Level subjects and Grade D3 in four Ordinary or Higher Level subjects (including Mathematics; Irish or another language; and English).

In addition:

1. Applicants will be required to hold at least the following in the Leaving Certificate or an approved equivalent: Grade B3 in Ordinary Level or D3 in Higher Level Mathematics
2. Applicants will be required to support their application with examples of work to date and may be required to attend an audition and interview to determine their acceptance.

Applicants are advised that this course requires a knowledge of music. While no specific requirements are set, a student who has taken music as a Leaving Certificate subject, or has played an instrument, or has already used digital technology to record, edit or mix music would benefit from this course. It would not be advisable for students without such a background to apply for this course.
