Robert Sazdov is a composer, music producer, researcher and educator. His recent awards include a 2nd Prize at the 5th ‘Pierre Schaeffer’ International Computer Music Competition 2005, an Honorary Mention in the Musica Nova International Electro-acoustic Competition 2005, finalist at the Palmares de 33e Concours Internationaux de Musique et d’Art Sonore Electroacoustiques de Bourges 2006, an 'Award of Excellence in High Resolution Recording' from the Audio Engineering Society 2007, and selection for the Cycle de Concerts de Musique par Ordinateur de l'Université Paris VIII 2007.

Robert’s work has been performed in Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Macedonia, New Zealand, Romania, South America, the US, and throughout Australia. This includes recent concerts and festivals such as: austraLYSIS concert, Sydney 2007; ICMC07 Concert, Copenhagen 2007; Cycle de Concerts de Musique par Ordinateur de l'Université Paris VIII, Paris 2007; Aurora Festival, Sydney 2006; Live Wires 2006, Sydney Conservatorium of Music; Concert 2005, Holy Trinity Church, Radovis, Musica Nova Concert 2005, Museum of Contemporary Art, Prague; Totally Huge New Music Festival 2005, Spectrum Gallery, Perth; SoundLabChannel Edition III 2005, Biennale of Video & New Media, Santiago; Harvest Moon Symposium 2004, Multi-Channel Concert, Concordia University, Montreal; XI and Complexity Concert, Central Conservatorium of Music, Beijing; and, 60x60 Concert 2004, St Marks, New York City.  

Robert has extensive teaching experience lecturing in the disciplines of music technology, composition, music production, audio engineering, psychoacoustics, ethnomusicology and popular music. In 2002 he established and coordinated the Creative Technologies program at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts – Edith Cowan University. In 1997 he established and headed the Contemporary Music Centre at the Western Sydney Institute. He has further lectured or tutored at the University of Western Sydney (UWS), the Australian Institute of Music, SAE Technology Institute, the University of New South Wales, Sydney Conservatorium of Music - University of Sydney.
 
Robert's current research focuses on the perception of multi-channel surround sound and was until recently a PhD candidate at MARCS Auditory Laboratories - UWS. He has presented his research at various conferences including, AES, EMS, SAN, HCS, ACMC and has been invited to present at Cambridge University, University of Sydney, and St. Kiril and Methodius University. Since 2003, Robert has served on the Executive Committee of the Australasian Computer Music Association (ACMA) as promotions officers. He recently curated a CD for the ACMA of Australian composers entitled 'Unfenced' which was released in July 2008.
